It takes quite a while to get to the Matterhorn from Aargau. It is a really nice train ride though that I could highly recommend - just not for a day trip.
The closest mountains are in central Switzerland, so maybe try out Pilatus, Rigi or Titlis. It takes about 2 hours to get there by car, depending upon the traffic.
