There is the foreign exchange conversion (Wecshelkurs +Bearbeitungsgebuehr+...) you should consider if you're going to use it abroad. I did a research a couple of years ago. The best deal was VISA PostFinance (CHF).

An alternative would be to do a short trip to Germany, especially if if you are living near the border, open an EUR account at a Sparkasse and get an additional credit card. It depends on the currency you need and the amount you are planing to spend.
