| We buy Cathedral Cheddar every week at the Migros on Claraplatz. It is located in the hard cheeses shelf. You have to search a bit as they tend to move it around.
Also, Manor on Greifengasse often has Cheddar in the cheeses section.
Though if you are going to grate it into macaroni cheese, any Swiss hard cheese will do the trick - e.g. Gruyere Surchoix.

I stopped using Cheddar cheese for cooking (and eating, too, really) when I discovered that Gruyere gives a much better result. Cheddar seems to ooze its fat when it's cooking.
