Re: Watching BBC in Switzerland?

Yeah I know but it is about 50 chf per month if you add the billag fee.

I was hoping BBC has some form of paid internet subscription already. Besides, I do not have a tv. (The expense of a tv + subscription I cannot afford atm).

AFAIK the BBC restricts most of their online programme material to UK IP addresses (there is some that is available worldwide).

If you can afford it, get a cheap digital satellite box along with a dish and decent LNB. You'll get all the BBC digital channels (BBC1, BBC2, BBC3/Cbeebies. BBC4/CBBC, BBC News24 and BBC Parliament) plus most of their radio channels too. And you can get all the ITV channels (ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, ITV Play) plus a smattering of various other free English language channels, including Sky News I think.

Actually, since regional variants are there for the BBC and ITV stations you actually have access to dozens and dozens of channels.
