Re: Schengen Visa for France but go to Germany ?

You absolutely must go to the country of your visa first and be stamped there with entry. After that, you can go anywhere else within the Schengen region.
That is most interesting - can you tell me which part of the Schengen rules specify that?

To the best of my knowledge you must have the visa issued either by the country of entry into the Schengen region or if this is not the place where you intend to spend most of your time, then the country where you will be staying. BUT you MUST have it stamped as soon as you enter any Schengen country as it is from this point that your 90 days start. So if you happen to land in Germany but are spending most of your time in France then there is a requirement to stamp first in Germany.

I never read that you must have it stamped by the issuing country first but could be wrong.
