I just checked the website and even though I don't speak scandinavian its close enough to German to work out that you have to speak Skandinavian to join this particular group!

If you tell me where you live (ie Horgen side of lake, Meilen side of lake or Zurich centre) then I can see which club would be nearest. All sites are in German but I shall get the contact names for you if I can know which would be your best local one.

From my own experience joining a local swiss one is good, if you make the effort to speak, even in stumbling German you will be welcomed and then slowly but surely you'll get some good local swiss friends.

Most clubs have regatta's and my local one even has trips to Itlay and so on, so have a go as 'm sure you'll enjoy it!
