My husband is in exactly the same situation (admittedly in Geneva) and about 4 months after he submitted the claim he received a letter stating that they acknowledged the receipt of his request and would try to process the claim by the end of the year. And that he should wait patiently and refrain from calling them. But maybe in Vaud it is different...
