THE BASEL CHILDBIRTH TRUST (BCT) The Basel Childbirth Trust (BCT) is an English Speaking Non-profit Voluntary Organisation that gives help, support, and information to expectant parents and families with young children to enable them to make informed choices about birth and parenthood.
Raising a family is an exciting adventure, but it can be challenging and overwhelming, especially in a foreign environment, far from family and friends. The BCT offers English Speaking families living in Basel a warm welcome, friendly encouragement and a chance to connect with others in similar situations through the following;
Regular Antenatal Classes and First Aid Courses,
Postnatal Support Group,
Playgroup for Parents/carers with 0 – 1 year olds,
Playgroup for Parents/carers with 1 – 4 year olds in a large venue,
Monthly Coffee Morning,
Working Mums Group,
Attachment Parenting Group,
A monthly newsletter to keep up to date with all the latest events,
Contact with a BCT Social Services Co-ordinator, a BCT Postnatal Support Co-ordinator, a BCT Twins & Multiples Co-ordinator, BCT Breastfeeding Counsellors, a BCT Antenatal Instructor.
