Our real estate checked under the cupboard edging near the floor and under our top row of cupboards, removing fitted lights and checking every corner. Most of the food spashes were gone but it was the ones you can't even see, so they feel with their hands. Everything needs to be de-calcified inkl. toilet bowels (right up under the rim and down the bend, taps (including tap ends - as Suttter said these screw out to put into strong descaler solution), washing machine powder tray, dishwasher filter and no water marks on windows.

Our real estate was also fussy about oven trays and shelves and even took out the lights in the oven and extractor fan to make sure they were clean inside.
