Be aware that beds are metric here, so imperial sized matresses won't fit.

Unless you have new matresses, leave the beds and buy new ones here (personal experience). Used stuff can be bought/given to you free on this forum to see you over until you have found stuff you really want.

Other than that, only bring stuff of sentimental value, you will want to be surrounded by those in your new situation. And Dettol, Vegemite, etc...
