Not sure if they still do it.

But when I bought my Bike, the limiter was set to 7K

This apparently is/was a Swiss thing. By limiting to 7K the intention was to minimise noise pollution.

But as soon as the bike was run in (where you are meant to keep below 7K), I had the chip changed so it revved to the normal 14Kish :-)

In the end the bike doesn't come alive till around 6K
