I'm in Canada, and would like to meet some native Swiss French people. For one thing, even though I learned my French in Belgium, I can't find around here even so much as a French dictionary that has all the Belgian and Swiss words in it! Even the two respective Consulates are no help. Because I learned in Belgium, even when I speak French around here, I get either treated like or told outright that I am "not speaking French." I am told that native Swiss people are treated the same way.

Among Swiss and Belgians, is the only time I feel like apologising for being Canadian! Now that I experience first-hand how my country treats the country where, after all, the language originated (Switz)...!
