Both my boyfriend and I love animals and had pets before leaving our original countries (yeaaaars ago for me, decades for him!) His son is also very fond of animals and has yet to have a pet. Since moving to Switzerland I've had bird feeders on my balcony (i LOOOOVE sparrows). We both think it might be a good time to have pets again now that we're kinda settled and setting up a nice home.

The best would be to find birds that already need a new home. We will visit the animal rescue centers to see what they have. And if anyone knows of a pair of conures that need a new family, drop me a line I have to say that we would really like tame birds to have with us indoors.

Back to the topic of aviaries, are outdoor aviaries in Switzerland suitable for birds like parrots and cockatiels, if it didnt have fancy heating and total protection from the elements? I dont know if i really want my birds to be outdoors in winter!
