I have been to most of these mentioned here.
None of the Indians in Bern are amazing, and typically for Indian restaurants worldwide - the prices are extremely elastic due to supply. UK is of course amazing for Indians, both price and quality.
The dishes here are usually less varied and blander to suit the less (ehem)'adventurous' of customers.
But if you can't resist:
http://www.curryhouse.ch/ OK for take-aways.
http://www.akul.ch/home.htm actually ran by a Sri Lankan - is a bit different, but is good.
http://www.mahamaya.ch/html/mahamaya_e.html is good enough.
Markthalle has 2 places, a '
South Indian' and a more standard one '
Way to India' I think. Both fine, neither spectactular. Prefer the 'South India'.
Have heard bad things about 'Maharaja Palace' (which is very central) so will never try that one.
