I also went to Dr Städeli when I also had difficulty finding someone, but I have to say in my experience I found her closer to the 'cold and medical' end of the scale... Fine for the annual check-ups, and I have no doubt she is very professional and experienced... and maybe it was just me! But after going to her again when I first became pregnant I still had the same opinion so decided to find another doctor who I felt far more comfortable with (unfortunately the doctor I went to isn't taking on new patients unless you're pregnant... ).

Maybe it was me as lucy.r above had a different experience, but I thought I should mention it, since you specifically asked for 'friendly and approachable'.
