Just a little reminder for all those Aussies and Kiwis out there that ANZAC Day is coming up. For those who don't know, ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) day is a special day where we remember those who have served in the Armed Forces.
There is an official ceremony at the Commonwealth War Graves in Vevey at 11 am. Everybody else is welcome.
Anzac Day Service Date: Wednesday, 25 April 2007 Time: 11.00 am Venue: Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery, in Vevey near Montreux Details: Ceremony will be followed by drinks. All are welcome.
Saint Martin's Cemetery in Vevey
If you are traveling by car on the autoroute (direction Montreux) exit at the 'sortie Vevey', direction Vevey. Take the Route d'Hauteville / roundabout / left in to Route de St-Legler and follow this road to the end. Turn right in to Avenue de Blonay, right in to Boulevard St-Martin and the Cimetière St-Martin is at the end of the street. Parking is limited.
If you are traveling by train, you exit the Vevy railway station at the back, up the stairs and follow the signs to the Cimetière St-Martin. The Commonwealth War Graves are in this cemetery.
