I am on my way from the UK to Zurich in a few months and have budgeted 1,500fr p/m for my rent.. I am trying to find out if this is a plausable or am I living in cloud cookoo land.. ?
I have been trying to find the answers online and looking through the forum pages.. but keep getting mixed messages..so really confused as I am sure you have all been through it I am trying to plan my budget etc... I will be living on my own for 3 - 6 mth and working in centre of Zurich, so not bothered with a 30 min commute on tram/bus or walk.. want a place which doesn't feel like a hotel room (so more than 1 room) and would prefer it furnished as when my family join me we will move properly from the UK (kitchen sink and all) want a nice area with some local shops etc.. apart from that not fussed...

Shame that your not moving to Romandie and near the French border, because you could get a Frog box for that money over there.
