I think you are missing the point of toast. Toast is initself a delicacy, a wonderful comfort food & just plain delicious. Sure there are great breads out there but sometime only a decent sized slice of hot buttered toast will do the trick.

| Weejeem, what I mean is, decent bread has a taste and texture of its own. It doesn't make you think you're eating a pile of moist paper tissues. So it needn't be toasted to please your senses. It may be toasted for certain purposes, but it's not a necessity. The UK has great Single Malt Scotch, the USA has great steaks, but sure like heck no one will ever go there for their bread. | |
