| i can't seem to find brown sugar (dark preferably but light will do!) anywhere! i've tried coop, migro, manor, city coop. the staple of all my favorite autumn recipes and all i keep seeing is raw sugar, but not that sticky, packed, delicious darkness that is brown sugar.

A good substitute for brown sugar is to add 3 tbs of molasses (Melasse*) to a cup of raw sugar (Rohzucker*). It works well in soft, chewy gingerbread cookies.
