Swiss farm brunch on August 1, 2006 - Zurich edition

On August 1, 2006, Swiss farmers all over the country offer brunch - it costs about 25 to 40 CHF per person. The brunch starts at 9, and
it ends at 1 p.m. Full details and all participating farms can be found at www.brunch.ch.

For those living in or near Zurich, I want to suggest that we go together.
I have checked, and picked a place where not so many people go (hoping the food is better); some farmers expect 500 people, the farm I picked caters to 150. Also, we can go back by boat if we want to. The farm has ostriches and other animals. So, I would suggest that we plan on being there at about 10.30.

So, here is the plan:

Who: Everyone
Meeting point: Zurich main station, at the meeting point for groups, which is near the entrance towards Bahnhofstrasse and designated by an elevated RED cube.
How to recognize me: I will be wearing a black baseball cap that
says "hello"
When: 9.30 or 9.35
Cost: Brunch is CHF 25 per person.
Transport: S7 leaving at 9.42 from the tracks downstairs, arriving/leaving Stadelhofen at 9.45. If you want to join us there: We will be sitting in the first waggon of the second class. If possible, we will go upstairs (unless that's first class area). Train arrives in Meilen at 9.57.
Destination: Familie Schuppisser Madeleine & Walter, Erlenstrasse 50, 8706 Meilen

Getting there involves a 30 minute walk (my hope is that the farm is a little outside of town and therefore just nicer.) But I have not been there.

The farmers asked for reservations by July 30, and I have put in a reservation for those of us who already said they would come and told the farmers that our group might end up being a little bigger. If you want to join, you can register directly at Tel.: 044 923 11 89; brunch@besenbeiz-meilen.ch or take your chances - which should not be a big deal.

Unfortunately, I can only read the englishforum at work, so I will not be able to respond to any questions during the day.

Lookinbg forward to seeing you
Idgie
