| Hi Rich...please don't get me wrong. I don't want to dissuade you from getting the Milestone. It is a seriously sweet phone and I would get one too if I wasn't using Maemo already. What I want to avoid is a bunch of non-early adopters getting it and complaining about Android's lack of polish and apps compared to their friend's iPhone and giving Android a bad name.
Anyway, it looks fast to me because I have a slow, old, S60 phone. I saw a few places where people commented that it was slow, but no first hand reviews that said it was slow. Milestone Running Android Lots of comments on the video are complaining how the phone is running slow. I guess it depends on your point of reference. Why Android Phones Are Slow (Today) One of the first Android 2.0 reviews had lots of stuttering transitions, but it was running on older hardware. | |

palmos on the treo650 was really fast. shame they never updated the hardware and got everything rock solid stable. palm engineers know a thing or two about usability.
hopefully the pre will keep them alive - it would be a shame to see them fold. if only they came up with that 5 years ago.
