I used to go and volunteer once a week at a food bank or with a money assistance group for many years, and completely loved it. Yes, it was time out of my week, but you really got to know and help people.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any opportunities to help out in the Zurich area? I speak High German, but no Swiss German, so I wasn't sure how helpful I'd be in an assisted living home or hospital, plus I have no idea even who to contact about things like that around here. I haven't really seen anything advertised, but I know there have to be groups that could use a hand.
