Okay, maybe this is a little bit unrelated since I know nothing about British Cheese... but the thread made me think of good ol' Canadian Cheese Curds (in German it's supposed to be called Bruchkäse) I have yet to find these wonderful rubberlike balls anywhere. Anyone know if you can get them in Switzerland?
It has been illegal to make, possess or sell cheese curds in Switzerland, ever since the Great Poutine Scandal of 1973, that resulted in the resignation of the entire Bundesrat, and several hospitalisations amongst the political classes of Bern and Zurich.
