Funny, Sankt Meinrad is around the corner from our apartment and we've often wandered past and said "we must go there once". We would have been in for a surprise
Surprised by the quality or surpeised by the prices?

The funny thing about Switzerland is that even mediocre restaurants get away with charging CHF40+ for a main course and CHF70 for a full meal. Sankt Meinrad comes up approx 50% more expensive but I'll guarantee you that it will be more than 50% better and certainly more memorable. The 7 course tasting menu at CHF130 is actually pretty good value.

Of course the prices may climb a little now that the have a star and you won't be able to get a table on Fri/Sat for a couple of months....
