Re: How do South Africans obtain a permit when marrying a Swiss person?

Hi,

When I came from SA - I used these guys for the police clearance. I am sure it helped me by buying some time at least.

I got them to expedite (push) my normal police clearance certificate process but also got a criminal record certificate issued by them - they take electronic fingerprints run it against the SAPS database and issue a certificate in 48 hours. They have an official agreement with the SAPS (also have a letter they can supply stamped by the SAPS that states this agreement).

I got my visa and entered CH with just this Nevetec certificate. Later my SAPS one came - and when the gemeinde asked for a police clearance (again?) I sent them the SAPS one - so I'm not sure if the Nevetec one would have sufficed - but it did get me here. So saved some weeks definitely.

For the money (couple of hundred bucks) it is definitely worth it - they literally take the forms for the SAPS certificate from one office to the next in Pretoria.

(for the suspicious ones out there - I have no interest in this company)

All the best.
