yeah...i say have the first season on rented ones n see how you like it here, how much you are actually going in a season etc. think about that the best thing is that the season ends n starts again the same year=only 8.5months of pointless seasons like spring, summer and fall to overcome... 
for me it was pretty valuable to buy all of my own gar an i dont find it hard to train travel with my board...

Don't worry about the jacket flow, it's my ski's you need to watch for as they are normally sticking out of the snowbank.
