So... I have seen the "Celtic Rock Opera" Excalibur advertised all over the city of Zurich, and, since I occasionally enjoy looking at a gentleman in leather trousers gurning over a hot guitar, while my Learned Companion enjoys "Celtic" music and opera, I was wondering if it is worth seeing.

Has anybody seen it in Germany? Is it as dreadful as it looks? Are there any redeeming features (comedy value, confirming that Fairport Convention are still breathing without artificial assistance, or similar)?

Even if you haven't seen it, please do feel free to weigh in with your opinion before my Learned Companion actually goes and buys the tickets...
