Did I just dodge a couple of bullets? / Motorbike import fees

Or am I just waiting for some nasty surprise in the mail? So I went and did my control for my imported Triumph motorcycle yesterday and they didn't say that I had to do anything and gave me my documents back. I then went and got my plates today and that went as well as could be expected and I got my new plates. I also got the giro to pay for the registration, plates etc.
I don't seem to have been nailed for any taxes (I was kind of unsure if I was going to get nailed for this since while the biked was first registered for the road in 2008, it wasn't gifted to me until May 2009 and I got here in late August. If there were any taxes, would they have made me pay them when I got my plates or would they send me something in the mail? I'm wondering how long do I hold my breath?
