I think it's because the Amici capsules never caught on - they were meant to be a competitor to Nespresso capsules.

It would have been great if they had been allowed to be compatible - giving the user more choice.

Our old X3 is getting on for ten years old and still going strong.

It uses pods or ground coffee.
