| Well in that case Nil have one. If you deny yourself you will hanker even more for one.
I lost 28lbs 5 years ago and have kept it off. I do not deny myself ANYTHING but if I fancy a chocolate I will have one - but just one.
Portion size is so important and you can cook most foods - but in a healthy way.
As previously quoted breakfast is sooooo important. I have a huge one and it does stop cravings and remember, that if you do not eat much your metabolism slows down so you do not lose the weight so then you eat less and it is a vicious circle. | |

Yeah I agree, I prefer to eat breakfast and dinner, that works best for me, and starving yourself does slow a person's metabolism that's why crash diets are only temporary, the best and most long term way to lose weight is gradually, the same way most people put it on in the first place. Most people don't gain 30 pounds in 2 or 3 weeks so why try to lose it like that? The body is much healtheir and adjusts better when it's lost gradually.

Also going up and down drastically like that is not good either like losing 30 pounds in 2 weeks then gaining it all back in 3 weeks then losing it again. That will mess up the body's system. Gradual and longterm is best. I think I read somewhere that losing around 5 pounds a month is a good pace, so that equals out to a pound a week so this thread is on track with that. That's the best way.
