| Am currently living with my boyfriend but i *need* to leave and have found this studio. i know he will not want to keep the birds in the long run and i'm more attached to them and would like to bring them with me. finding a new apartment was the first priority - since it's so hard to find anything here and i could not postpone it anymore. would love a bigger place but nothing came through except for this.
i found some soundproofing material (Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets) that bird owners have reported as being effective for bird cages (line the side of the cage). In addition, I will only have one neighbour as i am the "corner" lot. The cage will definitely go as far as possible from the neighbour. Hopefully all these steps will reduce the noise that they hear.
Well, if I get to keep them this time, I will make sure my next city/country would allow me to have a bigger space! (I'm doing a PhD so once I finish, anywhere is a possibility). Your house and renovated area sounds wonderful and I hope I will be able to provide my pets with such a place one day. | |

What do you mean "if you get to keep them this time"? Does the soon to be ex want them?

Wherever you do go, I hope you have the paperwork for your birds as I think they are on the CITES list. (Appendix II). They won't be going anywhere without the appropriate paperwork.
We have a great space indoors but we would like to build an aviary outside, something like this.
