I had brought my old Ford galaxy from UK and after few month it broke down here in Geneva. I went to the scrap yard and they wanted 200CHF to take off my hand. I then went to my local Emil Frey dealership and the guy said there are some people who buy these UK cars and ship to Africa (right hand steering!). He bought it for 200CHF from me
I am sure he made doubled his money but as far as I was concerned I was up 400.
So go to some dealers. They know the right people and if you sale it to the dealer its their responsibility.
Oh and make sure you inform UK road tax people that its off the road. Otherwise you may find a big bill when you eventually go back |
