Eventually, that style reached a dead end.
It always amazes me to see that those architects that design those extravagant and futuristic things quite often live in 200 year old houses.
There was the "case study houses" in California where experimental houses (in the International style) were built all over. I went to look at a bunch of them. Quite interesting.
