| Re: Unusual Life...a note we all should read...
I reckon that most of us are about half way through our lifespans on this forum and if you're still waiting to accomplish that thing that you always wanted to do, then you'd better get a move on and get to it. You had all these childhood aspirations because you didn't know all the facts at the time adults didn't take you seriously, so you lived the dream in blissful ignorance. As you develop you are cloned for the system and add crap to your rucksack along the way and feel that you need to keep everything that you picked up along the route. Commitments to other people, to your chosen career and money lending institutions will stifle your dreams. Less is more, it's a given.
Each and every year I choose to travel less, but enjoy nature around me and appreciate the small things around me and the people that I get to know. Everyone you meet and everything you do is just another piece of life's puzzle.
If I may just quote from Pink Floyd's Time (great literary source for someone who doesn't read fiction...) "And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you, no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun...."
