Re: Unusual Life...a note we all should read...

I've lived in my town for 27 years. Like many here, I just couldn't ignore the fact that the world is so vast and my time to see it is so short. I decided that instead of just reading about all the places I wanted to visit, I was going to live there and experience it first hand while I was still young and unburdened by any real responsibilities. So in two weeks I'm moving to Switzerland. For those who've been there for a while, it might not seem like a big deal. But for me, I'm at the same time excited and nervous, looking forward to the big day and also dreading it as it rapidly draws near. I'm sad to leave behind my family, my friends, my career I studied so much for -- but I'm also happy because I'll meet new people, make new friends, and build a new career.

I'm sure you can all remember what it was like to first move away from home to come to CH. The excitement, the adventure, all the different emotions. I really think the people here are remarkable for having the guts to get out of their comfort zones and pursue whatever it is they want, wherever that may take them.
