Re: Coop and Migros Home Delivery in English please read

I think the key here is acknowledging that we are in someone else's home country and yes, we should all make an effort to learn the local language. Why do some expats expect everyone to bow to some sort of English greatness?

But more specifically, if you're sending an email to them, do us all a favour and DO NOT include snarky comments but DO be smart by telling them how you want to SPEND YOUR MONEY with them and not their competitor.

For instance, I just sent this email:

Guten Tag,

We are new to Basel and although learning German is a priority for us, we are very new to the language. That said, we are looking for a home delivery option for our groceries. We spend approximately 1200 CHF per month on groceries and would be spending nearly all of that online. I prefer to shop with Coop over Migros but have to admit that the Migros English options makes it much easier to order online. Are there any plans on implementing an English version for your Coop@Home site? I don't mind the food descriptions being in German but it's very difficult when the site navigation is not in English.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
