Could someone please enlighten me here?
I read the glowing reports and feedback on the iTunes store for the
Qik video application. Lots of users say that it meant that they didn't have to upgrade to a 3Gs to enjoy video.
However, on reading the FAQ on the Qik site, it says (albeit in an old post) that a jailbroken phone is required.
The
support page lists three versions of the programme for the iPhone.

Is Qik available on the iPhone? Where can I download it?
Qik is available for the iPhone and can be downloaded directly from the App Store. There are 3 applications available from the App Store.
* Qik VideoCamera: This turns your iPhone into a rich video camera that can do special effects, zoom with 15 frames/second video
* Qik Live: This application lets you to stream live from your iPhone to qik.com and your favorite social networks
* Qik for 3GS: This application is the fastest way to upload videos to your favorite social networks ***
However, it is nevertheless available on iTunes and is one of the "Top 20" downloads.
Does Apple normally carry Apps that only work on Jailbroken phones?
I've emailed the Qik site but as yet there has been no reply.
