Re: the self-employment on "dependent B". You have to ask when you make the B permit application. If you are highly qualified, you *may* get it.

BUT you have to ASK and show all your degrees, qualifications, business plan maybe even... you are a special case as it sounds like you have a science PhD and are fairly specialized? The authorities *like* that. Use it.
