| Whilst you're right, it's not just a Swiss phenomena - google "baby p".
You need permits for all kinds of things the world over but to have kids, you don't.

I have to agree with you on this one...they send people thru a rigorous system to adopt...IMHO they are going to have to do this with all people who want to reproduce...Or maybe create a medical procedure where everyone gets sterilzed at birth, and after certain requirements it will be reversed when they want to have children...I'm sure this idea may not be PC (politically correct) but it seems its just getting worse, but of course a system as such would cause a host of other problems...or maybe we have to do like China with the "one baby rule"...this goes for the developed and the developing world...O.K. done..

| Exactly!! For instance, I know of 2 women that just recently had kids...one was smoking during her pregnancy and the other one is still doing an apprenteship (thus no real income)....and none of them are married.
I am seriously in favour of everybody being sterilized from the get go...and if someone would want kids (definitely not me) then he/she could go and apply for a suitability test to see whether he/she should have kids....if approved he/she then would get the (natural) medical remedy to be able to produce and offspring....sounds harsh and controversial...but it would be highly logical and the only way humanity can survive in the long term.

Interesting LIB...I just wrote about the same idea before reading your post...It makes sense really...
