Well that is what she told me. She says you don't have control of the car when it's in neutral, and going downhill the car accelerates on it's own and when you apply the break thereafter, it is too forceful and scary . You would fail a test based on this.

I do agree that the control is better when in gear but I drive well and it's really hard to change driving style after all these years!
