Thanks for such a useful information it's cover most of points of my queries though & i want to know little more about my situation ...

A. we are from India & My wife is working Here in Basel on L permit for a 12 month period.(It can be extend)

B. I am also having dependent L permit for 1 year till 31.12.2010

C. I am working in india in a bank as a Sr. Manager in retail loan domain

D. I have a total 10 year of work Exp.

E. I want to join her because we recently get married and we dont want to stay away from each other for such a long period ...

F. her organisation is also paying for my german classes .

Now I am planning to leave my JOb and join my wife in basel ...

My question is

1. Can i work with L permit (dependent)

2. Can I work in other place then basel in switzerland as most of banking jobs in Zurich . ( i will stay continue in basel )

3. Can I work part time also ..
