No you dont need to anything other than wait. I assume you would have already applied for your residence permit extension with your local Kreisburo?

This has been answered a lot of time in other threads. But again, you have to go to the Migrationsamt of your Kanton to get a re-entry visa!

If you want it you can get it for a fee from the local Kreisburo and if you are smart enough and can speak a little bit of German you can get it for free!

Yeah, wish you luck. It would be nice if you would update this thread latter once you get the permit. There has been lot of rejections off late and it would be nice to read some positive new
I guess when they reject your permit application, they will also specify a certain time frame before which you will have to leave the country. But am not sure of this. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can answer this for both of us.
