I have a 16gb 3gs , bought in July last year, and in the last few days, it has gone from charging up to 100% 5 days agao, then suddenly the maximum charge overnight seemed to be 39%, and from there it just kept falling. This morning after an overnight charge, my phone is dead and will not turn on or recharge.
After signing a 24month contract with Orange, I expect my phone to work for 24 months, but should it be under warranty (as the OP suggests with Organe Optima)? I phoned Orange, and as I don't have there rip-off security plan, they said I'm not covered.
Am I a one-off or are other people experiencing this?
Perhaps I should also go to Apple and see if they want to replace it too? | |

Its worth going to the Apple Store in Zurich, chances are you will get a new phone on the spot. I made the mistake of trying to go through Orange and spent days chasing my tail.
Just remember that
you need to make an appointment to see one of their so called Apple Genius', so book early if you want a Saturday slot.
