Male, single, 29, IT consultant (software testing, basically I get to try and destroy other peoples creations, and get paid for it! ). Originally from Halifax, England (not Canada), but have lived just outside London for the last 5 years.


Welcome to my Renaissance. I moved to Zürich in April this year and life has really taken off. It seems anything is possible here.

I’ve managed to continue salsa dancing, the scene is huge here and it’s a great way to meet people.
I’ve started to play the clarinet, which I haven’t done since I was 11
I’ve been paragliding, rodelbahning and mountainbiking.
I’ve discovered that Hiking isn’t just taking the long walk home and I’ve discovered the majesty of the Alps
If only I could master the language, if I had as much linguistic ability as enthusiasm I would be fine. In the mean time a winning smile seems to go a long way.

But the greatest thing I have discovered is sitting by the lake with something cold and alcoholic, enjoying the company of new friends. Hopefully I’ll meet some more on here.
