A friend of mine has played it a few times.

It is quite a good course from what I here, but has poor drainage - not great this year.

Basel golf club is in France, very good course, but I would imagine more expensive and a closed shop.

There are a few more in Germany and France.

Going south, Rheinfelden are building a 9 hole course, Frick has 6 or 9, though more suitable for grazing thaan golf.
Where I work (www.golfheidental.ch) is the nearest 18 hole to Basel, we have a quite a few members from BL - they offer a trial membership (3 months) for a good price
