Re: English Pub or Swiss Bar

Depends who I go out with. Id prefer to go to english/irish pubs because they generally have guiness and play sporting matches (like the rugby and AFL football). I love paddys and oliver twists in Zurich. Run by aussies If I go out with my wife and other friends we generally try and find a nice swiss place. But there is a distinction between a swiss bars (El lokal, Hafenknife etc) that we head out to and a traditional swiss bar/restaurant where people look at you funny when you walk in. We generally don't go to the latter because I guess we're conscious about our dodegy german skillz and there never seems to be much atmosphere (or patrons for that matter). I think they're mostly eating places anyway
