We went to the group classes with our little one (in Wallis though, not Fribourg) and she loved it. You're right, the public time is not practical...too many new things and people that can drive the child over the edge. Now that she is a bit older (almost 2) she is not scared of the water...or people for that matter so we can go almost any time. I think her initial exposure in a controlled environment helped...but what do I know. Anyway, it's good fun. Enjoy.
