Re: Heavy steam Iron needed

I'm used to my local Seattle drycleaner where my local dry cleaner used shirts as a loss leader, and a nicely pressed and starched shirt cost 99 cents - so cheap, if fact, I'd send here, at $5CHF, I'm not so keen to send the shirts out. While I can afford it, it just seems a bit excessive and past the minor pain point that I can do my own whilst doing something mindless like watching American telly. So, I've been looking at the irons and steam iron systems, and thinking of going back to my Navy days of pressing nice, crisp shirts.

From my cursory shopping thus far, it seems a decent steam iron system with the anti calc systems are around 300CHFs, and a decent regular iron is around 100CHFs. I realize this is all subjective, but can I get some more color commentary on the steam iron systems, it would be appreciated.

What do you have, how much pressure, do you like it? What do you wish you had spent that 300CHFs on instead?

Thanks.
