| One note of caution for fresh markets - choose the vendors that have a raised area (like a mobile home type vehicle) and don't just put their goods on wood tables. Many of the vendors that use wood tables first put the plastic crates of goods on the ground. This is problematic due to obvious contaminants on the ground as well as dogs allowed in these areas (unlike in some countries where public health rules prohibit pets into fresh market areas.) I've noted on more than 3 occasions a dog urinating on some of the fresh produce in these crates on the ground. | |
