Re: Best place to live in Zurich city?

Have been here a month now, and really enjoying it. (So far) I have travelled around the country a fair bit enjoying the beautiful scenery.
I am just about to move into my first proper rented apartment - I have been staying in the Swiss Star Apartments in Kloten since I arrived. Swiss Star is a serviced apartment, small furnished units - quite pricey, but a handy base from which to explore and find something more suitable.

To encourage anyone else who may be thinking of moving here. The accommodation market IS tough, but having said that, the place I am moving to is the first and only place I viewed. Maybe I was lucky! Maybe having a glowing reference from a Credit Suisse VP helped, but I am very happy with the process . I will actually be easy walking distance from work as well

Finally, you may recall that my original post was asking for advice about a church. Just in case anyone else is in this position, I can recommend the Regio Vineyard church which meets in Bülach (AM) and Hardbrüke (PM). It's not English speaking, but the pastor is an American and a good preacher. When he's there, he preaches in English with a translator. My experience has been that they allocate an individual translator to non-German-speakers so that you can understand the notices, prayers etc., which are not in English.
